Remove the battery from your device and adjust the connectors of the universal charger so contact is made with both outer most metal contacts of the battery. This works with side or top mounted batteries. Red light on charger indicates connection. If red light does not display then polarity must be reversed by pressing POS button which reverses polarity automatically. You can then plug into car cigarette lighter or wall outlet for power. Plugs flip out of charger.
